Alison Sonstelie, BS, CRCST, CHL, CIS

Alison Sonstelie is a sterile processing specialist with fourteen years of industry experience in surgical services, process improvement, supply chain operations, and inventory distribution. Because Alison has worked in many sectors within the sterile processing industry, she brings immediate value to departments working to solve broad challenges in surgical services, quality management in sterile processing, and emergency equipment.

Alison is a former lead sterile processing administrator and supply chain operations manager at Sanford Health. Alison participated in several AAMI working groups where she drafted evidence-based standards, and she participated in a submission that won Healthcare Purchasing News’ CS/SPD Department of the Year. She is a former Board Member of the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) where she also served as Vice President of a local North Dakota chapter.

Alison was instrumental in planning operations for supply chain management at Sanford Health in 2017 when the facility opened a level one trauma center. During this time, she rolled out facility-wide training initiatives, workflow development, as well as building inventory development and planning. Alison is an educator and consultant experienced in speaking for local and national meetings where her teams provide facility-wide sterile processing assessments.

Alison is the current Client Success Manager at Ascendco Health where she manages a high volume of post implementation accounts, develops and maintains standard operating procedures as well as SaaS projects that support department structures, she supports the company’s Client Advisory Board, and she develops and manages tools that supports strategic growth initiatives as well as engage stakeholders.

Alison earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Mayville State University, she is a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), a Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) and she is a Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL). Alison is also a former basketball player and assistant varsity basketball coach.
