Behavioral Health

Nash Healthcare Consulting provides on-site assessments designed to identify and mitigate behavioral health and harm related risks as well as deliver feasible solutions. Our assessments include a detailed written report of findings and recommendations that support the facility’s path to compliance.

Our consultants are seasoned behavioral health surveyors with senior leadership experience who bring their understanding of organizational leadership to the Behavioral Health role.

During a mock survey, the NHC behavioral health surveyor specializing in risk management and harm reduction conducts a thorough examination of the facility, focusing on the most frequently cited standards. The areas of concern including suicide prevention, risk, and mitigation, seclusion and restraint, ligature risk assessments, treatment planning with implementation based on clinical needs, use of validated tools to inform clinical practices, and the impact of co-occurring disorders on treatment implementation.

NHC consultants are equipped to provide focused assessments designed to evaluate the hospital and healthcare facility’s behavioral health program, assess reported data, assess data outcomes, and apply interventions to improve undesirable trends.

The NHC behavioral health consultants are fluent in the most current standards. They will survey hospitals or healthcare facilities to ensure the best outcome for the patient and a survey. For example, the NHC behavioral health surveyor will evaluate all updated standards against the clinical practices and perform a gap analysis. After the gap analysis is complete, recommendations will be made. Assistance with interventions will also be made available.

Lastly, all NHC surveyors are fully trained to provide comprehensive facility and staff evaluations including staff members' knowledge of the suicide risk assessment tools, deliberate risk assessment tools, patient rights, addictive services and treatment, plan of care implementation through interdisciplinary engagement, and use of seclusion and restraint.

As a service to every healthcare facility, NHC provides interim Behavioral Health staffing as a continuum when finding quality professionals is challenging.
