Gayle Nash, MPH, BS, RN
Gayle Nash is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Nash Healthcare Consulting. Ms. Nash is a seasoned hospital executive bringing over forty years of experience in nursing and healthcare administration, accreditation, and quality assurance.
Ms. Nash served as a nurse surveyor for the Joint Commission from 2001 until 2014. In her surveyor and facilitator roles, she evaluated and assessed healthcare facilities against nationally recognized standards of practice to ensure compliance and improve performance. She also served in the Joint Commission’s Standards Interpretation Group (SIG) and Special Survey Unit.
Ms. Nash’s healthcare leadership experience includes Chief Quality Officer at William Beaumont Army Medical Center and Chief Nursing Officer for the New Mexico Department of Health. She has served in various Chief Nursing Officer roles for hospital systems nationwide, and she is a former CMS surveyor.
In conjunction with her leadership and surveyor roles, Ms. Nash has served as an independent medical, legal, and healthcare consultant for hospital systems and corporations nationwide. Her specialty areas and focus include hospital, ambulatory, critical access and behavioral health accreditation, CMS surveys, risk management, hospital department development, nursing administration, infection control and quality assurance, and organizational improvement.
Ms. Nash’s seasoned experience and expertise grew out of her mission to deliver thorough accreditation assist visits as well as provide guidance and instruction in survey preparation, process improvement and operations excellence. Ms. Nash is a licensed, registered nurse with a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration.
