Angela Lewellyn, CHL, CRCST, CER, LPN, HACP-IC

Angela Lewellyn is a nationally recognized perioperative and sterile processing leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing clinical operations, regulatory compliance, workforce development, and quality management across hospitals, integrated delivery networks, ambulatory surgery centers, and academic medical centers. As the Founder and Principal of Lewellyn Surgical Services Advisory Group, she partners with healthcare organizations to optimize perioperative services through operational excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based process improvement. Her consulting expertise spans the entire surgical continuum, from point-of-use instrument care through sterile processing and surgical workflow optimization, helping organizations improve efficiency, enhance patient safety, and achieve sustainable clinical outcomes.

Throughout her career, Angela has held executive leadership positions with Advantage Support Services, Inc. and Case Medical, where she led national consulting initiatives, enterprise clinical strategy, operational assessments, and product standardization efforts for health systems across the United States. She has successfully directed sterile processing transformations, workflow redesign, staffing optimization, certification-based workforce development, quality system implementation, and accreditation readiness programs both domestically and internationally, including projects in Trinidad and Bahrain. Beginning her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and perioperative surgical nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she built a strong clinical foundation that continues to inform her practical, patient-centered approach to leadership and consulting.

Angela is widely respected as a national thought leader and contributor to the advancement of sterile processing and perioperative practice. She serves as Co-Chair of the ANSI/AAMI ST90 Quality Management Systems Committee and is an active voting member on numerous ANSI/AAMI working groups supporting the development of national standards for devices, endoscopy, chemicals, water quality, cleaning, containers, and quality systems. A published author and frequent national conference speaker for HSPA and AORN, she has contributed to certification manuals, continuing education programs, and industry publications that shape best practices across healthcare. Her passion for education, standards integration, and workforce development continues to influence healthcare organizations seeking to strengthen clinical performance, operational excellence, and patient safety.
