David H. Perrott, MD, DDS, MBA, FACS
David Perrott is a board-certified physician executive with over 40 years of experience in accreditation, hospital and medical staff operation, advocacy, strategic planning, quality performance, patient safety and regulatory performance, organizational development, policy regulation, and academic medicine with professional affiliations at the University of California and Harvard University.
Dr. Perrott is a former Executive Committee member and a former member of the Board of Directors for The Joint Commission Board of Commissioners where he implemented modernization measures and significant structural and automation changes in HR, finance, and performance improvement. He is also a former physician surveyor for the Joint Commission having surveyed and provided quality and patient safety consultative services to over 200 hospitals.
For over twenty years, Dr. Perrott served as Chief Medical Officer for numerous large healthcare systems including the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, the California Hospital Association, and the Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System. Passionate about patient advocacy and health policy, Dr. Perrott has a proven track record of rolling out impactful, lasting programs through leveraging innovation and creative problem solving to continually improve healthcare systems nationwide.
In his early career, and in addition to his oral and maxillofacial surgeon private practice, Dr. Perrott published hallmark articles regarding professional outcomes. He was awarded the Daniel M. Laskin Award in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and he was awarded the Fred A. Henry Fellowship Award by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Perrott earned his medical degree from Creighton University, School of Medicine, he is a Medical Doctor of Dental Surgery, and he earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Paul Merage School of Business. Dr. Perrott is a member of numerous surgery associations and dental societies, and he is a Diplomate for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
