John Raisch, BS, CHFM

John Rasich has over 30 years of experience serving healthcare facilities, administration, accreditation, plant operations, planning, design and construction, contract administration, environmental services, clinical engineering, safety, and support services. John is a former Engineer for The Joint Commission where he served for two years on The Joint Commission Standards Interpretation Group addressing accreditation and compliance issues for healthcare organizations. In this role, John was responsible for writing and interpreting standards, assisting organizations with Immediate Threat to Health and Safety and accrediting challenges, training Joint Commission Life Safety Surveyors, and training healthcare organizations on Environment of Care and Life Safety Standards.

In his director-level engineering roles, John has managed multiple healthcare organizations overseeing existing facilities while constructing new buildings to expand their patient care modalities. His experience in these further includes policy writing, operational plans, maintenance contracts and strategies, plans and construction with building inspectors and other AHJs, and working with senior leadership to grow organizations to meet their patient care needs.

John earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He is also a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, Certified Yellow Belt, and he is active in the American Society for Healthcare Engineering and the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association.
