Kristine Corradetti-Smith, MSN, RN, CPPS

Kristine Corradetti Smith has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in director level roles serving quality, regulations, and accreditation. Kristine’s clinical background is in surgical and trauma critical care, outpatient procedures, and peri-operative care, and she brings a wide range of administrative experience in hospital operations.

Kristine’s former hospital administration roles include the following positions: 

  • Kristine is the former Senior Director of Quality and Regulations for Steward Health System. In this role, she managed, led, and provided direct oversight for all regulatory and accreditation processes at 14 hospitals including acute care hospitals, associated clinics, and a behavioral health hospital. 

  • Kristine is a former Director of Patient Safety at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, and she is a Clinical Surveyor for Det Norske Veritas (DNV) completing over 150 surveys across the US. 

  • Kristine was a Quality, Regulatory and Patient Safety Analyst for Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and she was a Regulatory Auditor for the office of Accreditation at The Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore Maryland focusing on high-risk processes, high reliability, and survey readiness. 

Kristine currently partners with organizations to validate their processes, procedures, and policies to ensure standards compliance with Conditions of Participation and other accrediting bodies. Her focus for identification and process improvement is a systems approach which utilizes experience, audit expertise, ISO and high reliability implementations.

Kristine earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Notre Dame University of Maryland and completed a master’s certification program in Healthcare Corporate Compliance at The George Washington University. She is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
