Lisa Sherman, MBOE, BSN, RN, CPHQ, HACP-CMS, LSSGB

Lisa Sherman is an accomplished executive clinical quality leader with more than 25 years of experience driving transformative change in quality, safety and regulatory compliance within complex, multi-hospital health systems. Her recent role as Interim Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety for a unionized multi-hospital system involved a strategic overhaul of quality & safety programs including the development and implementation of a continuous readiness accreditation program focused on real-time corrective actions across the organization.

Lisa brings a strong commitment to developing and incorporating improvement science and evidence-based, best-practice methodologies into operational platforms to achieve facility goals as well as prestigious state and national quality awards. Lisa brings seasoned experience in executive-level hospital leadership having held the following former roles since 2015. She is the former Executive Nurse Advisor and Consulting Director at Futura Health, Interim System Director of Quality and Safety for a multi-hospital system undergoing a merger, former (initial) corporate Nursing Executive and interim System Director of Quality & Risk for a start-up inpatient rehab hospital. Lisa is also a former System Corporate Vice President, Chief of Quality, and Nursing Officer at Health First in Rockledge, Florida, and she is a former Corporate Vice President of Quality and Risk Management for LifeCare Health Partners in Plano, TX.

Lisa has an impressive early career from 1999 to 2015 leading healthcare facilities on matters of accreditation and quality improvement as the System Vice President of Quality Management at Holzer Health System, she served as Market Director of Quality and Case Management for Bon Secours Mercy Health in Cincinnati Ohio, she served as Interim Director of Quality Services at UC Health in Cincinnati, and she held roles in Quality Data Analysis and Compliance Documentation in Edgewood KY. In addition to her two decades of leadership and administrative experience, Lisa knows the daily commitment needed to work on the staff level in healthcare facilities since she also worked early on as a registered charge nurse in critical care, emergency, and trauma departments.

Lisa earned her Master of Business Operational Excellence in Healthcare from Ohio State University, and she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with high honors from the University of Michigan. Lisa is currently a certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, a certified Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional, and she is certified Lead Six Sigma Greenbelt.
