Mark Duro, CRCST, FCS

Mark Duro has more than 30 years of experience in sterile processing management and education that includes numerous executive and director level roles in sterile processing operations. Mark is a HSPA Fellow, and he has served in education roles for the past 14 years as an HSPA approved instructor as they relate to advancing sterile processing both nationally and internationally.  

Mark is the former Director of Sterile Processing Operations at New England Baptist Hospital, he is the former Vice President of the Massachusetts Chapter of Central Services Professionals, and he is a Chairperson for HSPA’s orthopedic council. Mark was appointed to the AAMI ST79 Advisory Council and contributed to the AORN news advisory for sterile processing.

In 2012, Mark was awarded “Educator of the Year” by HSPA, and he is currently serving as the President of the HSPA’s Foundation Board. In 2020, Mark collaborated with AAMI to draft and release “Building for the Future” 2nd Edition. He also currently serves on the Fellowship Committee and the Foundation Board of Directors at IAHCSMM.
